The Śrīla Prabhupāda Introductory Course (SPIC) offers a systematic introduction to the life, character, teachings, mood and divine mission of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Śrīla Prabhupāda. Through historical study, discussions, reflection and interactive learning, the course helps participants develop a deeper appreciation for Śrīla Prabhupāda and his extraordinary contribution to spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness throughout the world.

Course Curriculum

Lesson 01 — Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Childhood & Youth

Discover his early life, family background, education, character and the influences that shaped his spiritual journey.

Lesson 02 — Preaching in India: 1922–1955

Explore his meeting with Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, receiving his life-changing instruction and beginning his preaching journey in India.

Lesson 03 — Preparation for Preaching Abroad: 1955–1965

Understand Śrīla Prabhupāda’s years of preparation, writing, publishing and determination to fulfil his spiritual master’s instruction.

Lesson 04 — Jaladuta & Preaching in 1965

Journey with Śrīla Prabhupāda on the historic voyage to America and discover the challenges surrounding the beginning of his worldwide mission.

Lesson 05 — Fundamental Events: 1966–1969

Explore the establishment of ISKCON, the growth of the movement and the early development of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s worldwide preaching mission.

Lesson 06 — “In Every Town and Village”: 1970–1974

Discover the extraordinary expansion of Kṛṣṇa consciousness across the world and Śrīla Prabhupāda’s vision for spreading the teachings of Lord Caitanya.

Lesson 07 — Book Distribution & Caitanya-caritāmṛta Printing: 1975–1976
