Bhakti Vaibhava is an advanced, systematic study of the first six Cantos of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, exploring its profound philosophy, teachings, and devotional wisdom. Through the lives of great devotees and the instructions of the Lord, participants deepen their understanding of śuddha-bhakti and the path of spiritual advancement. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam: The Story of the Lord and His Devotees

Understanding the purpose of Bhāgavatam, the appearance of Parīkṣit Mahārāja, the departure of Kṛṣṇa, and the beginning of Śukadeva Gosvāmī’s narration.

Canto 2 — The Cosmic Manifestation

The Supreme Lord and the Process of Spiritual Realization

Exploring the universal form, creation, meditation upon the Supreme, devotional service, and the gradual development of spiritual realization.

Canto 3 — The Status Quo

Creation, Kapila’s Teachings & the Science of Devotion

Understanding creation, the appearance of Lord Varāha, the teachings of Lord Kapila, material bondage, and the process of devotional service.

Canto 4 — The Creation of the Fourth Order

Great Devotees, Kings & the Power of Bhakti

Study the lives and teachings of Dakṣa, Dhruva Mahārāja, Pṛthu Mahārāja and other exalted devotees, with special emphasis on determination and devotional service.

Canto 5 — The Creative Impetus

The Universe, Renunciation & the Path Beyond Material Life

Exploring the teachings of Ṛṣabhadeva, the journey of Bharata Mahārāja, cosmology, and the dangers of material attachment.

Canto 6 — Prescribed Duties for Mankind

The Power of the Holy Name & the Perfection of Devotion

Understanding Ajāmila’s story, the glories of chanting the holy name, devotional protection, the story of Vṛtrāsura, and the supremacy of surrender to Kṛṣṇa.

The course combines systematic reading, śāstric analysis, discussions, assignments and practical application to help students move from knowledge of Bhāgavatam to deeper appreciation and practice of bhakti.

Eligibility

Recommended for devotees who have completed Bhakti-śāstra course, particularly Bhakti-śāstrī.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the prescribed study, assignments and examinations will receive the Bhakti Vaibhava Certification, subject to the applicable DIVE/ISKCON Bhakti-śāstra requirements.
